Students' Union

The Students’ Union is run by students for students, so you get a say in how this is done. You automatically get membership of the Union as a University of Glamorgan student, so you can make the most of what’s available. It offers a wide range of services and activities, so when you’re not studying, the Union is the place to be.

Treforest

In September 2010, the University opened its brand-new Students’ Union building at Treforest. The state-of-the-art building is home to support services, events, clubs, societies, a hairdressers and beauty salon – not forgetting the all-important nightclub and bars. The building is a modern, iconic facility that acts as the social hub of the campus.

• Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the whole building and computers available for student use in the ‘social learning’ area.

• Variety of cafes and bars and a nightclub/events space

ATRiuM

In September 2009 we opened a new purpose-built Students’ Union facility at the ATRiuM campus in Cardiff. This offers support to students studying in Cardiff as well as the typical Union provision.

• Students’ Union shop selling stationary, alcohol, sandwiches, snacks and University merchandise.
• Escape Bar and Caf’e – serving hearty meals such as sausage and mash, curry, pasta and full cooked breakfasts. You can also get tea, coffee and sandwiches as well as a pint or glass of wine after a long day studying.
• Student support from on campus officers.
• Clubs and Societies office.

Glyntaff

Whilst students studying courses based on the Glyntaff campus may live on the Treforest campus and will be using the great new Students’ Union facilities there, we also wanted to make sure that your day-to-day needs were catered for.

• Union shop where you can buy stationary, sandwiches, university merchandise and even lab coats!
• Reception area where a member of Union staff is available to deal with any queries you may have or help you with any support issue you’d like the Union to be involved with.
