This free, two-day conference for teachers and careers advisers involved in Post-16 education will explore the current changes and issues facing admissions to Higher Education.

With the rise in tuition fees, the HE White Paper proposals and the ongoing UCAS Admissions Process Review, the world of Higher Education is changing. Through a programme of presentations and workshops led by high-profile speakers and experienced practitioners, this conference will give you the opportunity to explore these changes and consider their impact on your students’ university decisions.

We are delighted to announce the following speakers for our keynote sessions:

  • Dr Tessa Stone – Chief Executive of the educational charity Brightside
  • Mike Nicholson – Director of Undergraduate Admissions, University of Oxford
  • Peter Mulligan – Information and Advice Product Owner, UCAS
  • Wes Streeting – Chief Executive, Helena Kennedy Foundation

The first day of the conference will address the value of higher education in light of recent changes and consider the impact of these changes on students’ decisions. The second day of the conference will explore how you can help students overcome the latest challenges and issues to make the right university choice and optimise their time in higher education.

The conference will be held in Treforest, just 20 minutes from the vibrant Welsh capital city, Cardiff. Delegates who book onto our residential package (at the reduced price of £68) will enjoy bed and breakfast at the 4-star Novotel hotel in Cardiff and have the opportunity to meet teachers and advisers in a relaxed atmosphere at our drinks reception at the University’s ATRiuM campus and our conference dinner at the Novotel hotel.
