Life at Glamorgan

Clubs and Societies

Whatever your passion, from human rights to big band, there’s a club or society for you. By joining a society, you will meet lots of new people and have the opportunity to get involved in loads of activities. Most importantly, you will get more out of your time at university – being part of a society is your chance to try something completely new or keep up existing interests.

Joining a society

Every year the Students’ Union holds a Freshers Fayre, where you will be able to browse stalls set up by the different societies and sign up for the ones that catch your eye! You can still join at a later date but it’s a great way to find out what’s going on.

Setting up a society

If there isn’t currently a society set up that takes your fancy, you can set up your own providing you have at least 10 people interested in joining. The Students’ Union reception will be able to tell you everything you need to do to get started.
