Academic Facilities

The provision of quality academic facilities for students is a key priority of the University of Glamorgan. This is to ensure that our students have a great experience whilst they are here and that they have the hands on skills that employers require. Not only are there iconic new structures such as ATRiuM and the George Knox building, but the equipment that students will use is of industry standard too.

From the complex mannequins in use in the Clinical Simulation suite, to the scenes of crime house, to the brand new science laboratories, the Glyntaff campus provides our health, sport and science students with an optimum learning experience.

The Treforest campus now boasts its own aircraft maintenance centre, complete with a Jetstream 31 plane. All students can benefit from using The Collabortory, a new learning environment situated in the Glamorgan Business School.

Students at the Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries benefit from being housed under one roof at the ATRiuM campus. This striking building contains all the equipment, spaces and software that creative students need. From the latest iMacs and design software, to Roland musical equipment, to radio and TV studios, to theatre and cinema spaces, this campus offers opportunities for students to use industry equipment which will stand them in good stead when they graduate.
