Scholarships for specific areas of study

Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Incentive Scholarships are worth £500 a year (£1500 over three years) and are available to students who choose to study 40 credits of the following Business degree courses through the medium of Welsh:

• BA Business Management
• BA Human Resource Management
• BA Marketing
• BA Business Enterprise

University of Glamorgan unique Welsh medium Scholarship

The University of Glamorgan offers five Welsh-medium scholarships worth £1,000 each to those who study at least one module each academic year through the medium of Welsh as they study with us.

To apply, applicants must send a portfolio of their work (examples of possible work are below) to The Student Recruitment Team, D136, Marketing & Student Recruitment, University of Glamorgan, Treforest CF37 1DL, by Friday 17th February 2012.

The portfolio of work (by the applicant only) can be up to 3,000 words and should be produced in the medium of Welsh.
The portfolio should include a collection of items, for example:
• script
• story/stories
• an essay on a subject of interest
• an article on a subject of interest
• songs composed in Welsh
• posters/design work in Welsh
• opinion piece in Welsh

Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges.
Applicants must submit two copies of their work. They must provide their name, contact details and note the course applied to study at Glamorgan with the work, but applicants should put this information in a separate envelope as this information will not be passed on to the judging panel.

The above Scholarship is open to all Welsh speaking/Second Language applicants to the University of Glamorgan.
