Courses

We welcome students of all ages, educational or work backgrounds at Glamorgan. We have a high percentage of mature students and we tailor our entry requirements, courses, study methods and facilities to suit your needs.

As a mature student, you may be able to enrol on a course without having formal educational qualifications. Many of our students have been accepted to our courses because
of experience in work and life.

Flexibility

We understand that you may have other lifestyle commitments to juggle alongside university. Many of our undergraduate schemes are flexible, allowing you to study what you want, how you want, so your learning fits around the way you live.

If you haven’t got the time or money to commit to full-time study, then many of our courses are available part-time. On a part-time course, you can even vary the number of modules you study in each year, so you can opt for more if you’re finding it a breeze, or slow things down a little if you’re having a busy year.

Even if circumstances change and you need to take a break from your studies, you retain credits for the work you have completed and can use these towards a relevant course in the future, either at Glamorgan or elsewhere.

If you are concerned about financing your studies, please contact the Student Finance Centre on 0800 716295 or explore the website.

Study support

The Education Drop-in Centre on campus provides valuable support and assistance with all the general aspects of studying at university. Friendly and experienced staff will be able to offer help with writing assignments and study skills.

If you’re returning to study after a long break, you can opt for a Learning Strategies Module in your first term. In a friendly, informal atmosphere with other students like you, these sessions
help you develop study skills such as writing essays, revising and working in seminar groups.

Childcare services

The university boasts a creche with a full range of services. See the Playcentre pages for more.
