About this course
If you want to be a nurse, successful completion of this course will allow you entry to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register as a qualified nurse. You can choose to specialise in one of four branches of nursing: adult nursing, mental health nursing, child health nursing or nursing the person with learning disabilities. All our graduates who enter the nursing profession have gained employment in a local trust, in a UK trust or abroad.
If you are a UK student, you will be eligible for a non-means tested bursary, with means-tested allowances for your dependants, if you have any. Please note that you can apply for only one branch of nursing and multiple applications will not be considered. A satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (no offences are considered spent), registration with the Independent Safeguarding Authority and a medical are part of the entry requirements. These are organised by the University if your application is successful. Holidays are fixed and non-negotiable for the duration of the course.
