Halls of Residence
Living in halls of residence allows you to meet new people and lead an active social life away from class.
Broadband internet services will be available in halls(if they have suitable equipment to connect). There is no additional charge for this service as it is built into the room rent. The following options are also available:-
- IPTelephony service – monthly subscription basis which is done on-line.
- IPTV services may be available in the near future – details to be announced shortly.
Halls of residence are super-convenient, situated on a compact campus just a stone’s throw from all the facilities that go with campus life – the Learning Resources Centre, computer rooms, the Centre for Sport and the Students’ Union.

Glamorgan Court, available on a 39-week contract, offers residents excellent self catering facilities and en-suite study bedrooms.
Houses are arranged into clusters of six study bedrooms with shared kitchen and dining space. The en-suite facility consists of a shower, wash basin and toilet. Accommodation Services are pleased to also offer a limited number of premium rooms which have been newly refurbished to a high specification. Residents occupying a premium room will also have a shared modern kitchen offering the latest in design.
Accommodation Services can also offer you the fantastic opportunity of living with both UK and International Students in a mixed culture flat.
Living with a combination of UK and overseas students will give you the chance to meet and live with other new students from all over the world. You will be granted the invaluable prospect of learning about other cultures and nationalities right on your own doorstep.

Facilities
Laundry
A laundry room is available to all on campus residents.
Cleaning
Residents are responsible for cleaning their own study bedroom and kitchen. An Accommodation Officer will inspect each study bedroom once a term for damage, cleanliness etc.
Linen
A mattress cover is provided in each study bedroom. Bed linen is not provided as bedding packs are available to purchase from Accommodation Services at £25.
Equipment
All halls kitchens have kettles, toasters, microwave ovens, irons and ironing boards, but residents are required to provide their own crockery, cutlery. Cooking utensils such as pots and pans are provided. A mini fridge is provided in each study bedroom in Glamorgan Court and are available to hire in Phillip Evans/Squire.
Car Parking
There are a limited number of car parking spaces available on campus and an annual fee is payable. Application forms for a permit are available at induction meetings at the start of term. Due to limited availability Due to limited availability of spaces, residents are advised to bring a car only if necessary.
Property
Students can leave their belongings in halls, and stay during Christmas and Easter vacations.
Insurance
The University of Glamorgan is pleased to confirm that core contents insurance has already been arranged for students staying at University owned accommodation provided by Endsleigh Insurance. Endsleigh is the only student insurance provider recommended by the NUS
